III - Cold Boy

"Elise why don't you go to school? You and Timothy are in the same age and you two are incoming 1st year college, right?" The old master said.

He folded his newspaper and turned to look at her.

She stopped sweeping the floor as she looked at William.

"Yes Master but I don't have enough money." She said.

William's lips curved into a smile.

"It's on me then. I'm gonna pay for your school. Just promise me one thing." He said and she nodded.

"Yes Master, I'll do anything." She stated.

"Please keep an eye to Timothy. He's a troublemaker. If he does something inappropriate or bad, tell me." He said and the girl nodded while smiling widely.

"Thank you Master! I promise that I will study hard and I will keep an eye to Young Master." She said as she bowed 90°.

"Hey! Are you starving?" A little girl asked as she sat beside the cold boy.

He looked at her for a brief moment and shook his head. But his stomach betrayed him as it started growling. She chuckled and offered her a bread which he shyly accepted.

He took a bite of it and smiled at the little girl.

"Thank You." He lowly said but it was full of sincerity.

"Welcome." She smiled at him.

They started as strangers and now they are friends.

She stood up and dust off her pajama.

"Bye! I hope you'll find your way back home!" She said and turned her back at him.

He hurriedly stood up and hold her wrist.

"What's your name?" He asked.

She removed his grip on her wrist and looked back at him.

"Call me Lizzy! How 'bout you?" She asked back.

"Call me Tim then!" He said while smiling genuinely at her and she did the same.

She fluttered her eyes and stretched her arms like a cat before she sat up in her bed.

She stared at nothing as her mind recalls her vivid dream.

'Tim! I wonder where is he now?'

'He might be so handsome now. Well, he is handsome to begin with.'

She smiled at the thought of him.

She excitedly got up from the bed remembering that she have to go to school.

"What the fuck! Why do you keep on following me? It's not like were both in the same class!" He annoyingly said as he stopped at his tracks and look at the pure looking girl.

His eyes showed a glint of disgust as he glares at her that might burn her into ashes.

But she still managed to smile at him.

"You're so pathetic! Following me around like you are my girlfriend!" He added.

"I'm sorry Young Master but it's my job. And as a matter of fact we're both in the same class, Master made sure of it." Her cheeks turned pink in embarrassment.

Other students formed a circle around them, like there was a commotion going on. Some were just there to gossip, nosy students.

Timothy looked around and smirked. He leaned closer to her. "Follow me once more and i'll make sure that you'll suffer, more than this!" He backed away still smirking. He turned his back at her and started walking as if nothing had happened.

She looked around and smiled sheepishly.

Slowly turning away from the students who was looking at her with disgust.

"Why are you late?" The professor asked as he raised his eyebrow at Theodore.

The attention of the whole class averted to Timothy, patiently waiting for his retort.

"Why do you care? You're here to teach not to check if a student is late or what!" He spat confidently while making his way to a vacant seat beside Elise.

Their classmates look at him in purely awe. No one has the audacity to spat Mr. Brown and yet he managed to do that without any hesitations.

The professor pushed back his glasses and continued to discuss like nothing happened.

He gave her a smug look before settling down beside her.

"Hi honey! Did you like my small speech?" He asked as he moved closer to her.

The girl looked strangely at him while knitting her eyebrows.

'How barbaric!'

'That wasn't a nice act.'

'He look so handsome but his attitude sucks!'

'How I wish I could smack his head.'

'But I can't and I won't!'

She mockingly smiled and she let out a "ehe!" sound.

She uncomfortably shifted her gaze in front of them as she secretly rolled her eyes at him.

"Hey! Don't you dare roll your eyes at me!" He scolded but she just ignored.

She started writing notes as she listened to the professor.

He was still staring at her.

Intently scanning her features.

But then he realized something.

'She's beautiful.' He thought.

'Oh no! What the heck Timothy! Erase! erase! She ISN'T beautiful! Her face is just deceiving you!' He said to himself as he tried to remove his thoughts of her.

Timothy confidently walked towards the parked car, the driver opened the door of the passenger's seat.

His first day, was absolutely great especially getting attention to hot and beautiful girls.

He got in and motioned the driver to close it. The driver didn't ask him about Elise because he knows how Timothy despises being questioned.

He rubbed his neck nervously and walk at the driver's seat.

"Wait." Timothy said when the driver started the engine.

'Aw... he isn't as bad as I thought.' The driver said to himself.

A running figure made it's way to them.

She knocked at the window of the passenger's seat.

Timothy rolled down the window.

"What do you think you're doing?" He asked and lift an eyebrow at her, hiding his smirk.

"Young Master I-i.." He cut her off.

"Didn't I tell you not to follow me around! What if they'll see a poor maid getting in my precious car? Gross!" He said and slowly rolling up the window, he looked at Elise again.

"Go home, alone and don't tell my Grandpa about this or else..." He smirked and the window was up and motioned the driver to drive away.

'I'm sorry Miss.' The driver said to himself as he shook his head in disbelief.

She back away and looked at the car's figure that is slowly vanishing.

Her eyes turned glossy as tears started to gather but she held them by tilting her head up, without making it obvious she lets out a quite sigh before looking down and letting a chuckle erupt her mouth.

But doing that made her feel worse as tears escaped from her eyes.

She wiped the tears that fell from her eyes and forcefully smile while telling herself that she was okay.
